There are just over a dozen countries, (about 14 British territories overseas) that have not pursued republic status. Currently, Barbados is actively pursuing to become a republic country by the year 2021. This video focuses on one of its closest neighbors, Trinidad and Tobago, which gained independence in 1962 and became a republic 14 years later in 1976.
